"Leading Organizational Change"

Program Description:

Did you know that there are methodologies, models and best practices for Leading Organizational Change? This SIG event will provide a high level overview for learning professionals to better understand change management and how employees are impacted by change. The target audience includes learning, organizational development and HR professionals who are seeking resources and tools to support organizational change and drive the behaviors needed during rapid change.  Specifically, participants will learn:

 

  • Drivers of organizational change and the rapid pace of change.
  • The case for managing change- why 70% of organizational change initiatives fail.
  • How to lead organizations through change - understanding the senior leader and manager roles.
  • Introduction to change management methodologies including Prosci’s ADKAR model to assess change readiness and adoption.
  • Introduction to the Bridges model of human transition during change
  • Leader best practices and learnings from change initiatives that met expectations and those that did not.

About the Speaker:

A native New Yorker, Ms. Schwartz currently resides in the Philadelphia, PA area and works throughout the US and the UK.

She is a seasoned training and organizational development professional who has successfully initiated numerous leadership development, management development, customer service and sales programs and has delivered training to over 30,000 employees and managers nationwide.  Her style of facilitation is well suited to management training, coaching leaders and enabling improved performance especially during times of change and transition.  Her experience brings credibility and her approach is inclusive and engaging; her training sessions are collaborative and creative.

Over the last six years Ms. Schwartz has been training for clients in the financial, pharmaceutical, government, telecommunications, public utilities, medical, retail and non-profit industries.

Formerly she spent over 20 years in Fortune 500 companies spearheading change and development through training, communications, organization development and the innovative use of media.  She has helped companies make changes to propel cultural transformations, improve productivity, increase sales and retention, and achieve seamless transitions in major merger and acquisition environments.  An award winning producer and director, Ms. Schwartz was the Training Director for Bank of America (formerly Fleet Bank) and was the Director of Organizational Development at Medco, launching the very first Leadership Development program there.

Ms. Schwartz is on the advisory board of Manhattan College and is a Trustee on the Board of Keneseth Israel.
