As talent development professionals, we believe we play a critical role in our organization. But what do CEOs/Presidents of companies think? How do they see talent development's role in their company? And what do they want talent development professionals to know to truly have a positive impact/be value-added?
This year we are excited to have 2 excellent speakers:
Jennifer Morgan, President of SAP North America, will talk about her perspective and expectations of talent development in SAP North America. With 21,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada, talent development plays a critical role in enabling SAP to achieve its success. SAP was listed in 2017'sTop Workplaces and received a special award for "Clued-in Senior Management." Ms. Morgan is supported by Jewell Parkinson, Head of Human Resources.
Dr. Stephen Spinelli is President of Philadelphia University, known for its award-winning Nexus Learning approach - active, collaborative learning that is connected to the real world and infused with the liberal arts. With a unique perspective of the near-future worker, he will talk about the implications for talent development in organizations. Before his career in academia, he was co-founder of Jiffy Lube International and founder of the American Oil Change Corporation.
We will also have ample opportunity for an interactive discussion through a question and answer period.
About our Speakers:
Jennifer Morgan - President of SAP North America and Co-President of Global Customer Operations
Jennifer Morgan has served as President of SAP North America since May 2014 and is responsible for the company's strategy, revenue, and customer success in the U.S. and Canada. Recently she was elected to SAP’s executive board as co-president of Global Customer Operations with responsibility for Asia/Japan, North and Latin Americas. Jen has served in a number of leadership roles for SAP since joining in 2004. Earlier in her career she served in various management roles at Siebel Systems and Accenture.
Dr. Stephen Spinelli - President of Philadelphia University and Co-Founder of Jiffy Lube
Prior to becoming the President of Philadelphia University in September 2007, Dr. Spinelli was Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship and Global Management at Babson College. Before his career in academia, he was a member of the founding team of Jiffy Lube International and later the founder, director, and senior executive of American Oil Change Corporation, the largest franchise of this international automotive retailer.
