How a 'Putting People First' Culture Drives Business Results

Program Description:

Hal Rosenbluth said it best in the title of his best-selling book, The Customer Comes Second: Put Your People First and Watch 'em Kick Butt.  Rosenbluth  pioneered the concept that when companies care about their employees those employees care about the customers, which in turn drives high performance in companies.  The concept of servant leadership also puts employees first.  In the book, The Bridge to Growth: How Servant Leaders Achieve Better Results and Why It Matters Now More Than Ever, author Jude Rake points to research that supports the principle of Putting People First as a means to achieve sustainable business results.  Even most companies espouse in their annual report that their employees are their most important asset.  Yet, as intuitive as this principle is, why isn't it a more common practice?

At this Leadership & OD SIG meeting, we will hear from 3 dynamic CEOs – Joel Anderson (Five Below), Dan Calista (Vynamic), and Hal Rosenbluth (New Ocean Health Solutions) who truly believe in creating a "putting people first" culture, what that culture looks like, how it drives business results, and what they have done to create such a culture.

As a result of this program, we hope you will be inspired by the work of these dynamic CEOs and leave with some ideas that you can apply in your current organization to create a 'putting people first' culture or enhance your existing culture which, in turn, will enable the organization to achieve its goals.

We will also have ample opportunity for an interactive discussion through a question and answer period.
