The pace of work is relentless. We’re expected to absorb more, decide faster, and have an answer now, even when the answer isn’t obvious. For talent development professionals, that means continually making judgment calls about what people need, where to invest, when to challenge, when to listen, and how to move forward when there is no clear playbook.

But in all that noise, how well are we listening to ourselves? The Intuitive Edge is an engaging, out-of-the-box session about learning to trust what we know. We’ll explore how intuition, pattern recognition, experience, values, and self-trust inform our judgment, and how to distinguish those signals from fear, bias, outside expectations, and the sheer volume of information competing for our attention. Participants will learn how to quiet the noise, tune into what matters most, and use a practical TRUST framework to make more confident, aligned decisions in their work and careers.

The session aligns directly with three areas of the ATD Talent Development Capability Model. It strengthens Emotional Intelligence & Decision Making by building self-awareness and helping participants examine what influences their choices; supports Career & Leadership Development by strengthening judgment and self-trust in ourselves and the people we develop; and advances Future Readiness by building the discernment needed to navigate ambiguity, change, and an increasingly complex workplace.

As AI puts more answers at our fingertips, talent development professionals have an increasingly important opportunity to strengthen the distinctly human capabilities technology can’t replace – judgment, discernment, and the confidence to act when the answer isn’t obvious.
