"Developing Senior Leaders in Your Organization"
Everyone needs the opportunity for development, and senior leaders (individuals above middle management) are no different. Yet, according to a study by the Learning Consultancy Partnership (2008), it can be challenging to find effective solutions for senior leaders given their needs, time constraints and business priorities.
We have the opportunity to hear from three organizations (SAP, Independence Blue Cross, and Merck) regarding their best practices in developing their senior leaders, including integrating development into the succession planning process, using assignments and other job experiences to complement both in-class and on-line learning, and sustaining senior leaders' learning and development . We will also have ample opportunity for an interactive Q&A discussion to find out what these organizations have learned and how to make it work for your organization.
