2019 ATD-PHL Operating Plan


  • Improve succession planning for board positions by increasing the term for the executive members and filling the VP of Volunteers position
  • Promote and exceed last year’s attendance for chapter meetings
  • Drive individual, and student membership levels through increased touch points with prospective and current members throughout the year to promote the value of the ATD-PHL chapter and ATD National
  • Offer additional groups including to the chapter with a focus on:
    • a new student chapter
    • a CPLP study group
    • a consultant’s forum
  • Improve membership value by increasing the number of sponsors in order to offer programs at free or little charge
  • Provide a year’s worth of chapter programs at the beginning of the year partnered with a large event and membership discount to increase membership
  • Maintain and develop strategic partnerships that provide the chapter with 'in-kind' support and creates enhanced visibility for our partners
  • Move towards a model where members do not pay or pay a very minimal amount to attend events


The Greater Philadelphia Chapter, established in 1978, is amongst the largest chapters of the international Association for Talent Development (ATD).
